The Job

Wreck Surf Byron Bay required a new logo be developed for its iconic shop that has been around for over two decades.

The Solution

The new logo created was designed be used in both an online and print capacity. From being able to be utilised across social media, in print during advertising campaigns as well as on tee shirts and other merchandise to be sold in store. The brief entailed developing a simple, one colour design, that could be identified immediately among a sea of competitors in an overly saturated retail market place.

Inspiration for the new logo was taken from the heyday of surfing in Byron Bay when large set waves crashed over the boiler of the ship wreck SS Wollongbar. The logo depicts these sets crashing over a representation of what the boiler looks like when viewed from the car park at Main Beach, Byron Bay.
